Your venue’s Instagram can play on its screens like any other picture or video. You connect the account once; VisionMagic copies its latest posts into your Library every 30 minutes, so new posts arrive by themselves, deleted ones go, and everything keeps playing when the internet drops.
Before you start
- It needs an Instagram Business or Creator account. A personal account? In the Instagram app open your profile, tap ☰, then Account type and tools → Switch to professional account. It is free, takes two minutes, and your posts and followers stay.
- Only your own posts are shown, never other people’s. VisionMagic never posts, comments or messages on your behalf.
Connect your account
- In the console, open Library → Instagram and choose Connect Instagram.
- Sign in on Instagram’s own page (we never see your password) and allow VisionMagic to read your profile and posts.
- You come back to VisionMagic with the account listed as Connected. The first copy of your posts takes a minute or two.
Put it on a screen
- Choose New Instagram feed. Pick the latest 6, 12 or 20 posts, or only posts with your own hashtag (for example #onscreen: add it to a post’s caption on Instagram to put that post on screen).
- Choose whether videos and Reels play, how long each picture shows, and whether a frame with your @name and the post’s date goes under each picture. The live preview shows exactly what will play.
- Add the feed to a playlist on the Playlists page (it is under Widgets), then send the playlist to your screens as usual.
Good to know
- Carousels play slide by slide. Reels that use licensed music show their cover picture instead, because Instagram doesn’t hand those videos out.
- The copies sit in a Library folder called Instagram · @yourname and get the same light TV copies as your uploads, so small boxes play them smoothly.
- Captions are never shown on screen.
- Disconnect any time under Library → Instagram: every copy is deleted from your Library and screens. Removing VisionMagic in Instagram’s settings does the same. See how we delete Instagram data.
