Screens are built to keep playing in real venues, where Wi-Fi drops and plugs get pulled.
When the internet drops
- Each screen downloads its content before it plays it, so it plays from its own storage.
- It also knows the next 24 hours of scheduled changes, so schedules still switch on time while offline.
- It records every play and sends the records when the connection comes back.
- Changes you make while it is offline arrive when it reconnects.
After a power cut
The app starts again by itself when the box powers up and carries on playing what it had.
Knowing a screen is offline
The Screens page shows which screens are online and playing. You can also get an email when a screen has been offline for a set time. See Alerts.
