Playlists
A playlist is a list of images and videos in order. Images show for the time you set; videos play to the end. Put a playlist on a screen and it plays in a loop.
Schedules
A schedule plays a playlist on chosen screens during a time window: days of the week, hours, and optional start and end dates. For example, a lunch menu from 12:00 to 14:00 on weekdays. When the window ends, the screen goes back to its usual playlist. Times are each screen’s local time.
Layouts
A playlist can switch to another playlist’s content at set times or dates, for example an evening version of a menu. This is useful when many screens share one playlist.
Sending files straight to a screen
You can also send single files to a screen, added to or replacing what it plays, each with its own time window if you like. Every send is kept in publish history and can be undone.
What plays when
- If a schedule’s window is on, the screen plays that schedule’s playlist.
- Otherwise it plays its own playlist, plus any files sent straight to it (or only those files, if they were sent to replace).
- If the playlist has a layout that is on now, the layout’s content plays instead.
